About

The first indie band

In 1969, three teenagers from Quebec built their own studio. In 1970 they cut their own LP, and released it themselves—no label, no industry connections. Long before DIY had a name, Oliver Klaus was already living it.

From basement psychedelia to folk-tinged rock, their sound evolved through decades of lineup changes and self-recorded releases—including the cult classic White Album and the 1996 follow-up Homeless, both on their own label, Capt. Moze Records.

Their story is one of defiance, innovation, and pure musical soul—now chronicled through international reissues, archived footage, and the official Oliver Klaus YouTube channel.
